Power BI – Happy 2nd Birthday

I cannot believe that it has already been 2 years since Power BI was launched. It is amazing to see how many new features and capabilities that keeps on happening.

In the past year they have released 153 new features and updates. That is amazing and I am so excited to see what the next year will bring.

Azure Analysis Services – Web Designer

As you can see above you now have the capability to be able to use a Web Designer for your Azure Analysis Services. This does not replace SSDT or SSMS, but what it does mean is that you can quickly edit measures or meta data in Azure Analysis Services. I know in the past this was often the case where there might be a quick rename of a measure (due to it being spelt incorrectly) and now you have this capability.

They are also looking to add more data sources in the future as not it currently supports Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data warehouse, Oracle, and Teradata.
